That master flavor of the past

In 58 in a country like Syracuse there was nothing, in the houses and in the
streets very few species of flowers and weddings were only of carnations.

The money was very tight, the competition high, the merchandise expensive, and my wife and I dreamed of opening a unique floral shop.

I met the world of floriculture at the age of 12, while Maria was born the daughter of the most renowned flower and plant shop in Floridia. We were both practical, e

with an eye to the future we had bought land, to plant those unknown flowers but now that everyone knows: Tulips, Ilium, Amarylis, the very precious Hybiscus and floral gold, Roses.

In 1972, I remember, endless stretches of beautiful flowers bloomed, including 1000 Elisabeth pink rose plants that all bloomed together, reaching 7.8 buds on each branch.

We took full advantage of the power of flowering reaching nature's spectacles: 8,000 very fresh roses a day, picked with the dew, friends and a smile. With so much commitment and all this love for the plant world, after innumerable sacrifices, there is the pleasure, the pride of having made the dreams of so many spouses come true with flowers other than those usual carnations. We amazed them with colors and shapes never seen before, and with wedding bouquets of unimaginable beauty,  made by my wife. How much satisfaction when my clients stop me with a sincere smile.

This present is alive with passion

After the army, I decided to stay in Bergamo, where I worked for Renzo Buzzavo, one of the founders of Federfiori concfcommercio in Italy, a big man in one piece who made me change my mind about the floral world;
in fact, the profession of florist was well seen in the north, very different from what I had experienced in Sicily, which I thought and hated "the classic ciuraio".
Renzo's shop was beautiful, like what he did, resembling the design, like who was his customer. In this city the flower was in fashion, associated perfectly with art and elegance.
So taken by a disruptive energy, I became one of the first students in the various advanced floral art courses organized in the north, still non-existent in Sicily,
e In the'86, when I returned, with a new way of thinking, I managed the Cadorna branch in Viale Tunisi together with my mother, unified all the florists of Syracuse and its province on the basis of a healthy ideal of enhancing the category, founding "Federfiori Syracuse"
In those same years, I fell in love with everyone's favorite Trieste florist, my wife Patrizia, coordinator and driving force of the company.
And later, in the year Riccardo was born, we met the determination of the very young Beata, who became so passionate about this world that she became a strong point for the company and for all customers.

That ideal future to look at

In 2019 Patrizia begins to attend the three-year International Flower Design school of Antoniuccio, Gregor Lesch, Peter Hesse, where she grows a lot in the way of conceiving Green design for shop windows, interior furnishings and  installations

Angelo embarks on this path the following year, experimenting with unusual plant elements for bouquets, interior furnishings and events, better manipulating iron and wood.

From the Opposite floral project, Beata has brought into the company a unique way of making accessories for the world of fashion and events.

From 2022 Riccardo returns to the family business, where he directs a series of photographic, video and media projects to achieve a re-branding of the company

While this year we welcome to the team, an actress-florist, Irasema, always kind and willing to learn.

Everything is slowly growing, you will look at us with the eye of a new site, with new and convenient services, collections of bouquets and accessories, and for those who come to visit us, with a different interior decor.

We believe in our history, and in the commitment to continue writing it.
